FP7 CALL 8 was launched on 26 July 2011 and the deadline for submission of proposals is 17 January 2012.

European Commission organizes an Information Day for the FP7 ICT Calls 8 related to Future and Emerging Technologies (FET), that will take place on 12 October 2011 in Brussels.

The day will provide first-hand information on the FET Call 8 objectives, as well as contractual, legal and administrative modalities. The formation of consortia will be facilitated through an open exchange "Proposers' Forum" where participants will have the opportunity to present research ideas and/or expertise.
 
Registration to the event is free of charge but obligatory.
